For the control or temporary reduction of postpartum uterine bleeding in cases where conservative therapeutic management is indicated.
Catheter equipped with 2 balloons:
- an external one (1) to be inflated with sterile solution (maximum inflation 60 ml) through the blue tube (3) ‘water’;
- an internal one (2) to be inflated with air through the transparent ‘air inflation’ tube (recommended inflation of 360 cc of air equivalent to 6 pumps of the 60 ml syringe supplied; maximum inflation: 420 cc).”
The special inflation valve (4) on the transparent tube allows air to be pumped continuously without disconnecting the syringe.
The red drainage tube (5) must be connected to the collection bag (6) supplied.
Combined water-air inflation provides a lightweight device, which, once positioned, minimises the risk of slipping in the event of movement by the patient.
The procedure for inflating, deflating and repositioning the catheter in the event of malpositioning is very quick.
It guarantees ease of use for the physician and absolute comfort for the patient.
The kit consists of the catheter, the 60 ml syringe and the fluid collection bag.
