Uterine IUD insertion and removal

RI.MOS. produces a kit including all the disposable medical devices necessary for the insertion and removal of the uterine IUD. The IUD-Extractor was developed thanks to the collaboration of gynaecology professionals who, over the years, have been confronted with a wide range of IUDs. Designed to facilitate outpatient procedures even in the most difficult cases, the IUD-Extractor is suitable for removing the IUD even when there is no visible IUD or no IUD (such as the Chinese ring). The design of the tip allows for easy insertion and hooking of the wire or the IUD structure to be removed; the small olive at the end of the tip avoids tissue trauma.

In addition to the extractor, RI.MOS. produces a ready-to-use kit that allows the entire operation of introducing, placing and subsequently removing the intrauterine IUD. The kit includes a hysterometer to determine the depth of the uterus (Ramister), a Palmer pincer (Tirapalle) to widen the cervix, a Kelly pincer to insert the IUD and place it in the correct position, and a long plastic scissors (U-CUT) to cut the IUD wire once it has been placed in the uterus. All devices in this family are supplied in single packages, are EtO-sterilised and disposable. They are assembled in controlled environments by highly skilled workers and undergo rigorous quality control in accordance with the requirements of ISO 13485 certification. These devices are CE-marked.
